These figures were released in via "gashapon" capsule machines as well as in "shokugan" blind boxes. The blind boxes came with 2 to 3 figures, a collectible card with character artwork on it, and a Ramune-flavored candy.
The figures in this set were unpainted "keshi" figures, a type of collectible semi-firm rubber figure that was popular in the 1980s and 1990s. These Super Mario Land keshi figures were produced in aqua, peach, orange, blue, green, and yellow.
Included in this archive are 3D scans of a complete set of all 21 characters, as well as scans of the mini booklet that would have come inside the gacha capsules.
